Filmmaker Subhash Ghai is set to bring together Aamir Khan, Hema Malini, Rana Daggubati and Imtiaz Ali for the Celebrate Cinema Festival 2026, a three-day event celebrating the craft of cinema and creating a dialogue between established artists and aspiring filmmakers.
The Three-Day Lineup
The festival will take place on October 7, 8 and 9 at Whistling Woods International, with each day spotlighting a different cinematic journey. Aamir Khan will be part of the festival on October 7, with a conversation around Sitaare Zameen Par.
On October 8, Hema Malini will pay tribute to the late Dharmendra in a special way, with a scholarship on behalf of the institute, and Rana Daggubati will also grace the event. October 9 will see filmmaker Imtiaz Ali join the festival for a session around his recent film Main Vaapas Aaunga.
Connecting With the Next Generation
Ghai will also interact with students and aspiring filmmakers as part of the celebrations. Around 2,000 students are expected to participate, with the festival featuring workshops, panel discussions, exhibits and interactive classes exploring the impact and evolving experience of cinema on screen.
Announcing the festival on Instagram, Ghai said the three-day event was for all aspirants and that he would interact with the students alongside the invited artists. The festival is an extension of his enduring association with cinema and his belief in keeping conversations around filmmaking alive for the next generation.
