Steven Spielberg's sci-fi thriller 'Disclosure Day' is now streaming in the United States and Canada on Peacock, arriving on the platform from October 9 after its theatrical run earlier this year.
The film follows a TV meteorologist, played by Emily Blunt, who becomes involved in a dangerous investigation after discovering information linked to extraterrestrial life. Josh O'Connor plays a disgraced cybersecurity analyst who joins her as they attempt to uncover the truth behind a secret government operation. Their investigation turns into a chase as they come up against people determined to keep the information hidden, including a powerful corporate contractor.
An ensemble cast and veteran collaborators
Alongside Blunt and O'Connor, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Colin Firth, Colman Domingo and Eve Hewson. Spielberg brought back frequent collaborator David Koepp for the screenplay — Koepp previously worked with the filmmaker on Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The film also features a score by legendary composer John Williams, another longtime Spielberg collaborator.
'Disclosure Day' marks Spielberg's return to science fiction after Ready Player One in 2018. The director has a long association with the genre, having made E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Minority Report.
The film released in theatres on June 12, 2026, and earned around $241 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo, receiving mixed-to-positive reviews from critics and audiences.
