The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Indianapolis Colts 34-22 on Sunday at Acrisure Stadium, moving to 3-2 on the season as quarterback Aaron Rodgers and running back Jaylen Warren powered an efficient offensive display.

Rodgers completed 22 of 31 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns, spreading the ball around with three receivers catching at least five passes each. It was his third consecutive game with at least three touchdown passes — a streak no Steelers quarterback has managed since Terry Bradshaw in 1980, and Rodgers's own best scoring run since his 2021 MVP season in Green Bay.

Warren's explosive afternoon

Jaylen Warren was the day's standout, opening the scoring with an 80-yard catch-and-run touchdown on the game's second drive and adding a 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. He finished with 188 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns, becoming the first Steelers player to score touchdowns of 50-plus yards both as a runner and as a receiver.

Colts fight but fade late

The Colts, who fell to 2-3, leaned on kicker Spencer Shrader, who made all five of his field-goal attempts for 16 of their 22 points, including kicks of 57 and 56 yards. Tyler Warren led the Colts with seven catches for 83 yards and their only touchdown on a 1-yard run. Indianapolis pulled within 24-22 in the fourth quarter, but Pat Freiermuth's second touchdown and a late field goal sealed it for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers also lost receivers Roman Wilson (dislocated finger) and Ben Skowronek (calf) to injuries, thinning an already depleted receiving corps. Pittsburgh next visits Tampa Bay on October 18.
