One of the biggest theatrical hits of 2026 is coming home. Sony Pictures has confirmed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, will arrive on premium video-on-demand on Tuesday, October 6 — and reports suggest the wall-crawler's run may not end there.
PVOD details
Released in theatres on July 31, the film has crossed $2 billion worldwide and is still playing in more than 1,700 domestic venues. From October 6, it can be bought for $29.99 through Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Prime Video and YouTube Movies & TV, while a 48-hour rental will cost $24.99. Digital purchases include the outtakes reel and ten production featurettes.
An extended cut on the way?
Separately, Deadline has reported that the film could return to theatres in an extended cut restoring Rosario Dawson's deleted scenes as Claire Temple, alongside other unseen footage. Dawson revealed at a Galaxy Con panel on July 25 that she had shot a scene for the movie but was cut. Sony has not officially announced the extended version or confirmed the additional footage.
The team behind it
The film stars Holland alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. A 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray release is scheduled for December 15.
