Ranbir Kapoor rang in his 44th birthday on Monday, September 28, 2026, the way he often does — by stepping out to meet the people waiting for him at the gate. The actor emerged from his new Mumbai residence, Krishna Raj, to greet the crowd of fans and paparazzi that had gathered outside, waving to them and posing for the cameras. Dressed casually in a grey co-ord set, white sneakers and black sunglasses, he looked relaxed as he accepted the crowd's birthday wishes.
The celebration then turned into a photo opportunity of its own: Kapoor cut three giant cakes outside the residence, sharing the moment with the assembled fans and photographers. According to Mid-Day, he received warm birthday wishes from Neetu Kapoor, Soni Razdan and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and a video circulating online also shows Ranbir and Alia Bhatt waving to well-wishers from the balcony of the bungalow. NDTV notes that the couple moved into the six-storey Pali Hill property in November 2025 and that it is reportedly valued at Rs 250 crore.
The birthday comes at a busy moment in Kapoor's professional life. He is currently preparing for the release of Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited epic Ramayana: Part 1, in which he plays Lord Ram. The film is set to arrive in theatres on November 6, and expectations are running high given the scale of the production and the actor's transformation for the role.
His next major project after that is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War, a drama expected to centre on two army officers — played by Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal — caught in a love triangle with Alia Bhatt's character. That film is expected to reach theatres on January 21, 2027. Between a mythological epic and a Bhansali romance, the coming year promises to be one of the most closely watched phases of Kapoor's career — and if his 44th birthday is any indication, his fans intend to be part of every step of it.
