The makers of Ramayana: Part 1 have officially locked November 5, 2026 as the film's worldwide release date — a day earlier than previously announced — and unveiled a new ensemble poster on the occasion of Navratri. Advance bookings will open on Dussehra, October 20.
New poster, familiar faces
The poster features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana. Announcing the date on Instagram, the makers wrote: "On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, we celebrate the beginning of a new era. Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai. Namit Malhotra's Ramayana Part 1: In cinemas WORLDWIDE, across all premium formats, from 5th November. Advance bookings open on Dussehra."
Release plan
The film will release worldwide across all premium formats. Sony Pictures is handling worldwide distribution, while Dharma Productions will distribute in Hindi-speaking markets. The second part of the two-film epic is slated to arrive on Diwali 2027.
The November 5 date had been widely reported earlier; the announcement now makes it official and sets up a direct festive-season clash window, with advance bookings timed to the Dussehra holiday to capture early demand.
