OPPO India has confirmed that the Find X10 Pro Max will launch in the country in the coming weeks, and it will be among the first smartphones in India — and among the first globally — to run on MediaTek's new flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. The announcement was made at MediaTek Tech Day in Delhi on October 6.

First 2nm chip from MediaTek

The Dimensity 9600 Pro is built on the 2nm process node, a first for MediaTek's flagship mobile chips, putting the Taiwanese company among the earliest adopters of 2nm silicon for smartphones. The CPU uses a 2+3+3 all-big-core layout: two C2-Ultra cores clocked up to 4.55GHz, three C2-Pro cores at 4.35GHz, and three more C2-Pro cores at 3.1GHz.

MediaTek claims the new chip delivers up to 17% higher single-core performance, 15% higher multi-core performance, and 61% lower multi-core power consumption than its predecessor. All figures are manufacturer claims, not independently tested results.

AI, gaming and camera hardware

The chip carries a dual-NPU architecture with MediaTek's Agentic AI Engine and NPU 1090, supporting on-device AI models up to 30 billion parameters. MediaTek says LLM prefill performance is 51% higher and token generation per watt 55% higher, while a second-generation super-efficient NPU cuts always-on AI power draw by 40%.

For gaming, the G2-Ultra NX GPU offers up to 27% higher peak performance, 24% lower power draw, and 18% faster ray tracing, with support for up to 185fps. On imaging, the Imagiq 1290 ISP supports 60fps motion capture, 4K240 ultra-slow-motion video, 4K60 AI True Color Tone, 4K120 cinematic log, and 17EV imaging.

OPPO and MediaTek also jointly developed a "Laminar Flow Engine" rendering and scheduling technology that debuts on the Find X10 series. The phone already launched in China on September 24, 2026; no India launch date or price has been announced yet. MediaTek also introduced a Dimensity 9600M variant alongside the Pro, with the first 9600-series phones expected between October and December 2026.
