OpenAI has begun rolling out GPT-6, its newest flagship model, to ChatGPT users around the world, alongside a new "Intelligent UI" that lets the chatbot answer with interactive visual elements rather than plain text.
The company said in a blog post that GPT-6 is "built for more than 1.2 billion people who use ChatGPT each week," according to Business Today. With Intelligent UI, ChatGPT can generate responses that include diagrams, tappable buttons, forms, charts and small working tools, choosing the mix of text, visuals and interactive elements based on the question.
What users can do
OpenAI offered several examples of the new capability: a travel itinerary that now arrives with a map and recommended stops, a recipe with each step paired to its cooking time, and diagrams users can interact with to understand how different inputs change outcomes.
Users can also ask ChatGPT to build small tools directly inside the chat, such as a savings-growth calculator, a dinner bill splitter or even a playable game.
Faster answers
On performance, OpenAI says GPT-6 Instant starts answering 44 percent sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant. For demanding agentic tasks, GPT-6 Extra High begins answering in roughly the same time as GPT-5.6 Medium while scoring better overall than GPT-5.6 Extra High. The company also says the model makes better decisions and more reliably finds supporting information.
The rollout is reaching ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users in the Chat tab first. Free and Go tier users begin receiving it from today. Paid tiers run on GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go users get GPT-6 Luna, both tuned for everyday conversation.
