Singapore-based enterprise AI startup OneByZero has raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Jungle Ventures, marking the company's first external financing and one of the larger early-stage AI rounds announced in Asia this week.

The startup said it will use the capital to expand its engineering teams across the nine markets where it already operates, establish a presence in Japan, and push into healthcare and the public sector. It will also continue developing its NEO platform and its line of "AI Coworkers."

Engineers embedded with customers

OneByZero takes a different approach from companies selling a standalone AI application. Its engineers work directly with customers to find business processes where AI can be deployed, connect those systems to existing technology, and keep improving them after launch.

The company currently operates across Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam, with customers concentrated in financial services, telecom and retail.

At the centre of its offering is NEO, a control layer for enterprise AI deployments. It lets companies assign roles to AI agents, define what they are allowed to do, connect them with internal systems, and keep records of everything the agents do — a governance layer that grows more important as AI moves from generating text to executing real actions inside companies.

OneByZero says its revenue has more than doubled each year for the past three years. It also claims that some deployments now automate more than 90 per cent of customer interactions, and that certain data-modernisation projects have been completed 50 per cent faster — though those figures are company-reported and have not been independently verified.

A funding market that rewards execution

The round landed against a striking regional backdrop. Technology companies in Southeast Asia raised $13.5 billion in the first nine months of 2026, up 176 per cent from a year earlier, according to Tracxn data. But the headline hides extreme concentration: just three mega-rounds supplied $7.3 billion — 54 per cent of all regional funding — while the total number of rounds fell 28 per cent to 189.

That makes OneByZero's raise more notable than the regional boom suggests. In a market where a handful of giant financings drive the totals, a $20 million Series A still requires investors to make a specific bet on product adoption and execution — which is exactly what Jungle Ventures has done.
