Actress Minka Kelly and Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds have ended their relationship after four years together, PEOPLE reported on October 7, citing a source close to the couple who said the split "happened recently." Representatives for both did not respond to requests for comment.
The pair were first linked as a couple in November 2022, months after Reynolds announced his split from his ex-wife Aja Volkman. According to PEOPLE, they met through a mutual friend and initially bonded over their creative work — Kelly shared a copy of her memoir with him while he shared songs he had written — before they had even met in person.
A relationship in the public eye
Over the past year, the couple had been visible together. In July 2026, Kelly shared photos from a family trip to Disneyland featuring Reynolds, and later that month posted an Instagram tribute for his 39th birthday, thanking him for making "ordinary days feel extraordinary." Their final public appearance together came in May 2026, when they attended the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in Los Angeles, with Kelly calling it a date night on social media.
In 2024, Reynolds described the pair as having been "attached at the hip" since early in the relationship, and spoke about how Kelly had been careful and sensitive as he navigated co-parenting with Volkman, with whom he shares four children.
What they are known for
Kelly, 46, is best known for playing Lyla Garrity in "Friday Night Lights" and more recently starred in the series "Ransom Canyon," where Reynolds made a cameo appearance in its first season. Reynolds, 39, leads the Grammy-winning rock band Imagine Dragons. The reason for the split has not been made public, and neither has commented directly.
