Actor Imran Khan has confirmed that his comeback film, the mature romantic comedy 'Adhure Hum Adhure Tum', will release on Netflix on December 18, ending years of speculation about when audiences would see him headline a project again.
Directed by Danish Aslam, the film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada. It marks Imran's return as a leading man since 'Katti Batti' in 2015, after which the actor largely stayed away from films.
Straight to streaming
Imran told Hindustan Times that the film will not have a theatrical release. "We have been told that they intend to release it in mid-December, on December 18, so we are rushing to finish the post-production and deliver it to them on time," he said. "Since it's OTT, not theatrical, I don't think the date makes any difference. I'm just glad that we can finally share this film with everyone."
The actor's return to the big screen has been one of Bollywood's most talked-about comeback stories, with fans waiting more than a decade for a new headlining role. The announcement, made on October 10, 2026, finally gives the project a concrete release date on the streaming platform.
With the film now in the final stages of post-production, the December 18 date positions it as one of the notable year-end streaming releases, arriving just ahead of the Christmas holiday window.
