South Korean entertainment giant HYBE has announced that its flagship Weverse Con Festival will come to India for the first time, with the two-day event scheduled for March 27 and 28, 2027 in New Delhi. It will be the first edition of the festival held outside South Korea.
Announced on Wednesday, the India edition will feature a mixed line-up of K-pop and Indian artists, collaboration stages between the two music cultures, and immersive fan engagement experiences tied to HYBE's Weverse platform. The complete artist line-up is yet to be announced, and no performers have been confirmed so far.
A landmark for India's K-pop scene
Weverse Con Festival began in Seoul and has grown into one of K-pop's largest annual live events, featuring artists from HYBE's roster as well as the wider K-pop industry. The India edition is expected to rank among the most significant K-pop festival productions ever staged in the country, reflecting how fast India's K-pop fanbase has grown.
Tickets will be sold exclusively through BookMyShow, which is co-producing and promoting the event through its live entertainment division, BookMyShow Live. Presenting sponsors include Kia India, Mastercard, Project B and Samsung, with Nongshim joining as an associate partner. Mastercard cardholders will get early access to pre-sale tickets.
HYBE's bigger India push
HYBE Chief Executive Officer Jason Jaesang Lee described the festival as part of the company's "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy, with India identified as a priority growth market. Weverse Company President Zooil Yang said the event would extend the platform's fan-engagement model from digital to live settings.
The announcement sits alongside HYBE's broader India push through HYBE India, its Mumbai-based strategic office, which has been running nationwide talent auditions and developing locally produced content aimed at global distribution. The auditions, titled "HYBE India Audition: Final Call", seek young female talent across vocals, rap, dance, acting and modelling.
The announcement has already sparked speculation among fans about which of HYBE's biggest names — from BTS and SEVENTEEN to TXT, ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT — could take the stage in Delhi. For now, fans will have to wait for the official line-up reveal.
