Ranveer Singh's action blockbuster 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' is headed for its television debut, with the film set to premiere on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 7 PM.

The TV premiere comes months after the film's theatrical release and its subsequent run on streaming, giving the spy thriller another window to reach audiences across the country.

A heavily trimmed version

Viewers tuning in should not expect the exact version that played in cinemas. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the makers were asked to make around 45 to 50 cuts before the film could be cleared for television broadcast.

The changes are concentrated largely on the film's violent and gory portions. A source quoted by the publication said almost all the modifications pertained to the extremely violent scenes, and that the disturbing portions were edited in a way that preserves the essence and overall impact of the movie.

The scale of the trims is notable given that the theatrical version had received an 'A' (adults only) certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification.

From theatres to the small screen

Directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' dominated the box office earlier in the year before moving to OTT. The television premiere marks the final major release window in the film's commercial journey, and broadcasters will be hoping the star power translates into strong premiere-night ratings.
