Saturday Night Live returns to screens tonight with the second episode of its 52nd season, hosted by Dakota Johnson and featuring Turnstile as musical guest, NBC and Peacock announced.
Johnson, who will become a three-time host of the sketch comedy show, leads the episode one week after the season opened with NBA star Jalen Brunson hosting and K-pop group KATSEYE performing. Her latest film, Verity, adapted from Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel, released in theaters on Friday.
Fresh faces and a full slate
Turnstile, the Baltimore rock band, will make their SNL debut on the show. The 52nd season has also added two new cast members, Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter, alongside the first four episodes' lineup.
SNL has confirmed the weeks ahead: comedian Shane Gillis hosts on October 10 with Rosalía as musical guest, and Indie Navarrette hosts on October 31 with Gracie Abrams performing — a Halloween-night bill aimed at a younger audience.
Where to watch
SNL airs on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. Eastern on NBC and streams on Peacock. Viewers outside the United States can watch the episode via the Peacock service where available.
