The ATP Tour's Chinese swing produced a day of upsets on Saturday, as top seeds fell at both the Chengdu Open and the Hangzhou Open, headlined by South Africa's Lloyd Harris stunning top-seeded Valentin Vacherot in Chengdu.

Chengdu shock
World No. 136 Lloyd Harris defeated top seed Valentin Vacherot in straight sets, the biggest upset of the tournament so far. The South African qualifier-turned-giant-killer played fearless tennis to send the top seed packing.

Hangzhou upsets
The carnage was not limited to Chengdu. In Hangzhou, several seeded players also exited early, continuing a pattern of unpredictable results across the week's ATP events in China.

What it means
With the Asian swing in full flow ahead of bigger events, the early exits of top seeds open the draws wide for lower-ranked players chasing valuable ranking points and prize money.
