Bigg Boss 20 has seen its first mid-week eviction of the season, with singer Rhiti Tiwari, daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari, voted out of the house in a surprise twist during the captaincy task, Republic World reported.
In the latest episode, Bigg Boss called the three captaincy contenders — Mahhi Vij, Yung DSA and Uditi Singh — to the confession room and asked them to name the nominated contestant they felt had contributed the least to the game. Mahhi named Mary Kom and Yung DSA chose Aman Gandhi, but Uditi picked Rhiti. The other two eventually agreed with Uditi's choice, sealing Rhiti's exit.
A controversial week
The eviction came days after host Salman Khan pulled Rhiti up during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode over her behaviour towards fellow contestants Qazi Touqeer and Uditi. During a diss-battle task the previous week, Rhiti had openly said she hated Qazi and used abusive language against him, and later accused him of physically charging at her.
Salman called her diss-battle performance the "worst diss ever" and reminded her that her actions would shape her own identity rather than her father's reputation, while praising Qazi and Uditi for handling the situation calmly.
Fans divided
Reactions online were split. While some viewers supported the decision, others called the eviction biased, and speculation swirled that Rhiti may have been sent to the show's secret room rather than being eliminated outright.
The season follows a theme that gives contestants extra lives to continue their journey; so far Yung DSA, ScoutOP and Aasif Khan have each lost one of their lives. The show airs on JioHotstar and Colors TV.
