Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 20 got its first wildcard twist this weekend as television actor Manish Goel walked into the house during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, with social media creator Nakul Dhull reported to follow as the second wildcard entry, according to reports from Filmibeat, ABP Live and The Times of India.
The season, which premiered on September 6 with Salman Khan returning as host, is now at a stage where the original contestants have formed alliances and rivalries. The makers have shaken things up with wildcard entries, and Goel's arrival marks the first of what could be a double dose of new faces this weekend.
Who is Manish Goel?
Manish Goel is a familiar face to television audiences, with a long run in daily soaps including Bhabhi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Devi, Bhagyalakshmi and Hamari Wali Good News. He has also done films such as Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein and Hanak. Beyond fiction, Goel has been a reality-show regular: he and his wife Poonam Narula were runners-up on the first season of Nach Baliye, and in 2013 he won the celebrity cooking show Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki. The Times of India reports that Mahhi Vij, currently in the house, has known Goel for years.
Nakul Dhull's entry teased
ABP Live reports that Salman Khan introduced Goel as the season's first wildcard contestant, and teased another entry for the following day, with Nakul Dhull reportedly set to join the house. Filmibeat reports that Dhull entered the show during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode as the second wildcard after Goel. Dhull, also known as Mitthu Don, is a social media influencer and content creator from Faridabad, Haryana, with an engineering background. His reported entry has stirred debate because of past viral videos in which he made controversial remarks about women, a point noted by both ABP Live and The Times of India.
Tense weekend episode
The Weekend Ka Vaar Episode 36 aired on October 11, streaming on JioHotstar at 9 PM and later on Colors TV. Filmibeat reports that Salman grilled Scout OP and Yung DSA over a 'lollipop' issue involving Qazi Touqeer during the nomination task. Qazi, a Fame Gurukul winner who is recovering from dengue, was also pulled up for his own antics. Eight contestants are nominated this week: Qazi, Mahhi Vij, Kanika Mann, Gullu, Aman Gandhi, Arishfa Khan, Love Gill and Mary Kom.
