Bengaluru-based deeptech startup Yaanendriya has raised Rs 15 crore from Piper Serica to scale its indigenous navigation technology for autonomous systems, Deccan Herald reported on October 12.

What the startup does
Founded in 2023 and incubated at ARTPARK at the Indian Institute of Science, Yaanendriya is building the core technology stack — sensors, navigation and control systems — that goes into drones, robots and other autonomous machines, rather than the machines themselves. Its founders are Vamshi Bharadwaj M V, Vyshak Y, Vijay H P and Aravind Thumbur.

The startup's products span three layers: Syncore flight and navigation controllers, YPS GNSS positioning systems, and YDXM inertial measurement and attitude-reference sensing products. Its compact Syncore Nano controller is designed for drones, ground robots and embedded autonomous platforms.

Traction and plans
The company says it works with more than 20 customers across drones, defence, robotics and precision applications, and runs a lean team of about 18 engineers. Co-founder Vamshi Bharadwaj told the paper the funding would accelerate technology development and the journey from laboratory performance to deployment at scale.

Looking ahead, Yaanendriya plans its next significant fundraise in the second quarter of FY28 to design and tape out its own indigenous tactical-grade MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes in India — moving further down the technology stack towards owning the sensing element itself. The longer-term ambition, the founders say, is to build one of the deepest autonomy technology stacks from India, serving drones, defence, robotics and aerospace customers globally.
