Australia Women open their home summer on Friday with the first of three one-day internationals against Bangladesh at Allan Border Field in Brisbane. The match starts at 1:50 PM local time, which is 9:20 AM IST, with the remaining two ODIs also at Brisbane on October 11 and October 14. The series is part of the ICC Women's Championship.
It is Australia's first ODI assignment since winning the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup, and Bangladesh's first bilateral ODI series on Australian soil, Sunday Guardian Live reported.
Tahlia McGrath will lead Australia with regular captain Sophie Molineux unavailable because of a hip injury. Ashleigh Gardner has been named vice-captain. The hosts will also miss fast bowler Darcie Brown (back injury) and Lucy Hamilton, who has been ruled out of all three matches with a quad strain.
Bangladesh will be led by Nigar Sultana Joty, who captains a 16-member squad with Nahida Akter as vice-captain. Farzana Haque returns to the ODI setup, Murshida Khatun is back after last playing an ODI in January 2025, and young all-rounder Disha Biswas has been included.
In India, the series streams on FanCode. In Australia it airs on 7plus, Kayo Sports, Seven and Foxtel, while viewers in Bangladesh can watch on T Sports and Toffee.
