NEW DELHI: Apple's first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, will go on sale in India this month, with availability in the Indian market starting October 16 and the first sale scheduled for October 23, according to a report. The device is priced at Rs 2,99,900.

The much-awaited foldable, announced alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, marks Apple's entry into a segment that rivals like Samsung, Google and Motorola have occupied for years. The India launch follows its global debut earlier in September.

Price and colours

In India, the iPhone Duo will be priced at Rs 2,99,900. It will ship in two colour options: Starry Night and White Sky. Sales begin on October 23, 2026, with the device available in the market from October 16.

Display, chip and cameras

The device pairs a 5.4-inch cover display with a 7.6-inch LTPO OLED inner display running at a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Apple A20 Pro chipset built on a 3nm process, paired with 256GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM, and supports worldwide eSIM.

Apple has placed separate batteries on each side of the fold. The company claims all-day battery life for routine use, with up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and 44 hours on the outer display.

For cameras, the Duo carries a dual rear setup headlined by a 48MP primary Fusion sensor alongside a 12MP telephoto and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide-angle sensor. A 12MP Center Stage front camera handles selfies and video calls.
