Samsung has launched the Galaxy A08 in India, adding a budget-friendly device to its A-series lineup at Rs 18,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant.
The phone keeps the specifications simple but covers the essentials. It features a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. Storage is 64GB, expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card — a rarity in this segment.
For photography, the Galaxy A08 carries a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture alongside a 2MP depth sensor, while selfies are handled by an 8MP front camera. A 6,000mAh battery powers the device, and Samsung has added Knox protection for security. The phone runs One UI 9 based on Android 16.
Notably, Samsung has squeezed in AI features usually reserved for pricier A-series handsets: Circle to Search 3.0, Google Gemini and Perplexity, accessible through voice or a long press of the power button.
The Galaxy A08 comes in three colours — Dark Blue, Green and Silver — and is available through Samsung's exclusive stores, partner retailers, the company's official website and other online platforms. Samsung is offering zero-interest EMI of up to six months on eligible bank cards, while NBFC partners offer EMI plans of up to nine months.
