Hanuman Ansh has crossed the Rs 300 crore net mark at the Indian box office, cementing its status as one of the most remarkable theatrical runs of 2026.The numbers
The Vishal Chaturvedi-directed film earned Rs 303.26 crore net in India by Day 52, with India gross collections at Rs 358.28 crore, The Week reported on Sunday. Steady overseas business of Rs 37.75 crore takes its worldwide gross to Rs 389.85 crore. On Day 51 alone it added Rs 6.50 crore net from 3,979 shows — extraordinary for a film deep into its eighth week.
The film now ranks as the third highest-grossing Indian movie of 2026, moving ahead of big-budget releases including Toxic, Peddi and Jana Nayagan, and sits at No. 48 on the all-time global chart for Indian films.
The most profitable story of the year?
What makes the run extraordinary is the scale of investment behind it. The Week reported an estimated production budget of just Rs 1-2 crore, making Hanuman Ansh's returns among the strongest of any major Indian release this year. While Dhurandhar: The Revenge has earned more in absolute terms, it spent far more to get there.
Still running
Unlike several 2026 hits that have already left cinemas for streaming platforms, Hanuman Ansh continues to add to its total, and its final worldwide earnings could rise further as it eyes the Rs 400 crore global mark. The film, based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, opened in India on August 7 and expanded internationally on September 11 through Hombale Films' overseas arm.
